Description

This is the full two-day safety at sea course, which satisfies the requirements for World Sailing OSR 0,1,2 and SER requirements for the Newport to Bermuda Race, Trans Pac, etc. This course is for anyone looking to advance their preparedness while on the water.

Every season the Oakcliff team hosts two Safety at Sea Seminars for Oakcliff Trainees and the public, to meet the safety requirements for international and national sailing regattas safety requirements. This course will be hosted by Oakcliff with our US Sailing moderator Sheila McCurdy and Oakcliff staff helping to run the course. Included for all participants will be hands-on use of liferafts, deckvests, flares, fire extinguishers, and much more.

This is a two-day course, so there is no requirement for online chapters 1-15.

A list of what to bring and a brief schedule will be provided to you after registration. Housing in the Oakcliff bunkhouse can be booked separately, other housing options are available as well as instructions to get to Oakcliff here
