Stamford Denmark Race

Join Oakcliff for a fun day of racing in the Long Island Sound! The Valeur-Jensen Stamford Denmark Race is held annually on the first Sunday after Labor Day. The 58th race will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Attracting both performance sailors and the more occasional racers, the Denmark Race remains one of the largest day races on the Long Island Sound. The fun is both on the water and off, with cocktails, Danish beer and snacks on the SYC lawn after the race, in connection with the awards ceremony.

First Signal is at 10:20, and we need to be off the dock at 8:30am latest. This means meet at Oackliff Base (4 South Street, Oyster Bay) at 8am sharp.

Inluded in the price of the event is your entry fee and your first drink at the awards party which will take place at Stamford Yacht Club on the lawn.
