2024 Oakcliff US Sailing Sanctioned International Safety at Sea (1 day)

Every season the Oakcliff team hosts two Safety at Sea Seminars to meet the safety requirements for international and national sailing regattas safety requirements. This is the single day hands on course hosted by Oakcliff and open to the public. Our US Sailing moderator Sheila McCurdy along with Oakcliff staff will be running the course. Included for all participants will be hands on use of liferafts, deckvests, flares, fire extingishers and much more.

Online chapters 1-15 will need to be completed for the full certification and is not included in the price ($150 directly payable to U.S. Sailing).

• Sunscreen and Sunglasses
• Pen/Pencil with notebook
• Safety at Sea Handbook (optional)
• Change of Clothes
• Bag to put your wet clothes in
• Deckvest or Offshore Lifevest with expired cartridge (We have limited loaners)
• Foul weather gear (Older gear if you have it)
