2024 Winter Seminar Series - Navigation

What happens when your Chartplotter or phone malfunctions? We rely so much on modern technology while navigating, but knowing how to read a chart and plot courses on paper is a skill that could save you and your boat. This seminar will teach you the basics. Oakcliff volunteer Frank Gallo will be teaching the course with most of the course being hands-on. Training Director, Ethan Johnson, will give a brief instructional presentation on how to use navigation software. We have a limited set of navigation tools, so if you have your own please bring them along. 

Some snacks are provided but bring your own drinks.
