Celebrate and Collaborate Tour Stop Request

Oakcliff and Friends are planning a 2024-25 Celebration and Collaboration Winter Tour.   This is a two session event and we prefer that clubs in each area join together, as there are only so many weeks in Oakcliff's "Off Season".  We are gathering our graduates and collaborators to entertain and educate and hope to set up American Sailing for success into 2028 and beyond.  

Session One: Celebration! An entertaining 1.5 hour session with stars including America's Cup, Olympic and Round the World Champions and Hopefuls. 

Session Two: Collaboration. Three working sessions where local organizations and individuals will roll up their sleeves and get to work on sharing information, thoughts, questions and tips. This is moderated by Oakcliff but we are very much looking forward to sharing what we think we know as well as learning and sharing the cumulative results.

a) Athletes of all ages - What are your dreams? Plans? Options? What needs to be considered? What are the give and takes? Make an informed decision about your path forward to Olympics, Big Boats, Boat Ownership or a Career on the water.

b) Parents and those planning and providing funding - It's not just the parents. Do you have a Foundation? Where are other funding sources? Is corporate sponsorship an option? Corporate hospitality events? Co-working options? 

c) Organizers, Waterfront Directors, Coaches, Club Managers, Fleet Captains, Opti Fleet Leaders etc. etc. - What do we do best?  Define our lanes? Someone else in the area keen to take something off my plate? Go for it!  How can we help each other?  More isn't always better? Should we go slow to go fast? Small to be better?

You provide the marketing, venue and fill the room.  We'll provide the travel and time and fun.  Oh and we'll ask for a spare couch for the speakers.

Please express your interest in dates.  Sessions can be Friday night and Saturday Morning or  Saturday night and a Sunday morning.  Alternatively we can do consecutive weeknights.  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
